  • An interwar-production Persian Vz. 98/29 Mauser manufactured by Zbrojovka Brno in 1938. This rifle is one of an approximate 90,000 produced for the Imperial State of Iran in the 1930s, with the receiver stamped with the imperial emblem of Iran. The stamps on the left-hand side of the receiver include a set of Eastern and Western Arabic numerals showing "۵٢٠۶" and "5206" (the rifle's serial number), and Farsi script designating the rifle's model as well as its year of manufacture as "۱۳۱۷" (or 1938).
  • This rifle has been sporterised, with the receiver drilled and tapped for standard Mauser 98 scope mounts and the stock shortened to reduce weight. It has also had its bolt handle bent to allow for use with a scope, and a single-stage trigger added.
