  • A First World War-production Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) No. 1 Mk III rifle manufactured by Lithgow Small Arms Factory in 1918. This is one of an estimated 100,000 rifles made by Lithgow SAF between 1913 and 1918, with the pre-1926 Lithgow crest as well as the 'Lithgow SHT. LE 1918' stamped on the receiver beneath the bolt handle.
  • The '2nd M.D' and 'C.M.F 2.M.D' stamp present on the butt stock and receiver indicate that the rifle was at some point issued to the 2nd Military District of the Citizens Military Forces in New South Wales. Additionally, the "4/18" stamp indicates that the rifle was issued in April of 1918. This rifle also has Queensland maple as its stock material. It remains in original condition with its stock made and would suit a collector.
