- A Percussion Rifle manufactured by English gunmaker John Marson of Birmingham, likely sometime between 1894 to 1900. The centre of the barrel is engraved with the text "John Marson Maker 14 Weaman St. Bham. Eng." whilst the right-hand side of the receiver bares the simple text "J. Marson" below the nipple.
- Likely a vintage dangerous game rifle, as the 8 bore cartridge was widely popular in nineteenth century Africa for almost all dangerous game barring elephants, in which a 4 bore was traditionally used.
- This firearm is a genuine antique and does not require a license, as such it is also sold "As Is" with no warranty available. The purchaser is required to notify Weapons Licensing Branch that they are in possession of it upon purchase.
