Hornady's V-Max Bullets feature a polymer tip which enhances accuracy and promotes devastating expansion. The tip raises the ballistic coefficient for faster velocity and helps to stabilize the bullet in flight. It also acts as a wedge, initiating bullet expansion. The copper jacket provides the necessary bearing surface for maximum stability out of the barrel, and the jacket is built to withstand the fast twist rates of the most advanced varmint rifles. This is not loaded ammunition.

Good terminal performance in 300 Blackout

This projectile does work well in the 300 Blackout, expansion is achieved out to around 300 yards when started at 2350fps. See https://thebulletterminal.weebly.com/110gn-hornady-v-max.html for terminal test results. For more reliable results on heavier game such as large pigs the 125 grain SST would be better, see https://thebulletterminal.weebly.com/125gn-hornady-sst.html.

Good accuracy in .300 AAC Blackout

Good accuracy in .300 AAC Blackout when seated out sufficiently and when loaded near the maximum. The projectiles break up after mushrooming even at blackout velocities so would be good for vermin control.
